Another victory for Travis.
Travis Scott barely promoted the JACKBOYS project before its launch. A few days before the release of the EP, he announced that a "package" would be coming soon from his record label, Cactus Jack Records. A few short clips triggered the compilation project and the accompanying short film. Given the minimal promotion, JACKBOYS first week numbers are pretty impressive and tell a lot about the size of Travis's fanbase in recent years.
Billboard reports arrived and JACKBOYS racked up 154,000 equivalent album sales in its first week. That number includes 79,000 in traditional album sales. Hip hop is dominating the top ten on the Billboard 200 this week, with Roddy Ricch number 2, Post Malone number 3, Young Thug number 7 and DaBaby number 8.
It should also be taken into account that the project accumulated the streamings with only seven songs. In addition to Travis, many listeners tuned in to JACKBOYS to hear their talented artists Sheck Wes, Don Toliver, Luxury Tax 50 and the big guest names Lil Baby, Rosalia, Young Thug, Pop Smoke, Quavo and Offset.
