Jennifer Lawrence recently claimed she finds it disgusting that "young sex sells" in Hollywood while promoting the latest Hunger Games movie Catching Fire and according to a new report, Miley Cyrus, who it's been claimed the comments were aimed at, isn't too happy about what was said.
The 23-year-old Oscar winner was asked about the use of sexuality in entertainment during an interview with BBC's Newsnight, with the interviewer mentioning Miley Cyrus' name as an example. Lawrence made it clear it wasn't something she'd be getting involved in and claims it was "disgusting" to her.
"It's a part of the entertainment industry that sells - sex sells. And for some disgusting reason, young sex sells even more," she said.
"It's not really something that I worry about because I feel like everybody's kind of got their own path and they have their own way of finding themselves. And for some people, that's how they feel best, that's how they feel sexy, that's how they want to perform. ... I'm just saying, to each their own."
According to Heat magazine, while Jennifer didn't name the Wrecking Ball star, who is famous for her skimpy outfits and wild performances, the 21 year-old still wasn't happy, especially as Jen's co-star in the movie is Cyrus' ex-fiance Liam Hemsworth.
"Miley feels like Jennifer always tries to act like a feminist in all her interviews, but then poses in a revealing dress to promote her film. That seems so fake to her," a source told the magazine.
"Miley's mad as hell. She thinks Jen is such a hypocrite - she basically wears nothing but body paint in X-Men - how is that not using sex to sell? And then, she was all over Liam on the red carpet."
Miley and Jennifer have always been rumoured to have had a difficult relationship, with the We Can't Stop babe said to be jealous of Jen's close relationship with Liam while they were together.
"Liam kept telling Miley how great Jennifer was, so that got her back up, then, when they met, Miley felt like Jennifer focused all her attention on Liam and made no effort with her," the source said.
"Miley always suspected that Jennifer didn't like her and she suspected that she would side with Liam over her. These pictures of them getting so close have made her see red."
