Song Review: Celine Dion Previews 12th English Album 'Courage' with Three New Releases

As you bask in the beauty of the fiery album cover above, and after you give Loved Me Back to Life the credit and plays it deserves, treat yourself to THREE brand new songs off Celine Dion's upcoming Courage, her twelfth English-language studio album.

Following the summer release of EDM-styled "Flying On My Own" as she closed out her 16-year Las Vegas residency, Dion now shares three new album tracks crafted with the support of David Guetta, Sia, Lauv, and Stephan Moccio.

First up, on highlight "Imperfections", the songstress admits to being flawed just as she's starting to love another. The internal criticism puts the potential relationship in jeopardy as Dion sings of focusing on her own betterment before she can devote her full self to a new partner. "They make me who I am today, and they will never go away, can you love them the way that I love you?," she questions on an emotional and honest mid-tempo ballad co-penned by Lauv.

"Lying Down" finds Sia and Guetta teaming up in an unexpected, piano and strings-heavy environment. As Dion belts of erasing toxic relationships from her life, the artist once again finds her strength, faith, and ability to trust others again. "I gave you my heart, you took the key, but now I paid my debt, it's time I left," she sings on the opening, fed up with the compromises and mistreatment she's had to endure until now.

Heart wrenching piano ballad and title track "Courage" appears to find Dion still dealing with the aftermath of her husband's recent passing. However, instead of a somber affair, the artist uses the moment as a plea for perseverance. "It's out of my hands but I won't let you go, there's no replacing the way you touched me, I still feel the rush," she tenderly belts on the second verse, before Moccio's production envelops Dion towards the end and highlights the importance of recovery.

All four Courage teasers differ vastly from one another. While Dion excels in her ballad comfort zone, there are hints of her collaborators' influence sprinkled throughout. Whether it's heard in the dance beats of "Flying On My Own" or the pop-leaning "Imperfections", they are all solid evidence of Dion serving up another stellar project.

Courage is scheduled for release on November 15.
